How To Get The Most Out Of Madrid
The Spanish have a term to describe a place that has a lively and exciting spirit. They call it “mucha marcha.” Madrid, Spain’s capital city fits that description well. If it’s flamenco, bullfights and paella you want, then Madrid can certainly give you them. However, if that were all you experienced in this vibrant city, you would miss out on some of the best bits that Madrid has to offer.
The Spanish love the arts. The daily television news programs invariably have a section dedicated to the arts in some form or another, and Madrid is where some of the very best visual arts in Europe can be seen. The Prado, Madrid’s famous art gallery, opened its doors to the public in 1819. Today it houses some of the finest works of art to be found anywhere.
Don’t plan on a quick trip - it takes time to see the Prado. You just can’t rush past masterpieces by the likes of Rubens, Goya, Van Dyke, El Greco, Rembrandt, Botticelli, Poussin, Caravaggio - the list is stimulatingly endless. Anyone who has stood in front of Rembrandt’s Artemisia, which stands four and a half feet wide by five feet high, and dominates the wall it hangs on, will know the glorious magic of the Madrid Prado.
Spain is famous for its fiestas, and Madrid enjoys as many as it can. One of the biggest is Semana Santa, or Easter Week, held in March or April. Life-sized sculptures of religious figures, predominantly Christ and the Virgin Mary, are paraded through the streets. You don’t need to have religious leanings to be impressed by the sheer majesty of the spectacle.
If it’s bullfighting you want to see, then come to Madrid in May and June. This is when the San Isidro bullfight festival kicks in. All the finest bullfighters that Spain has to offer can be found in Madrid showing off their skills at this time.
If you love soccer then you must watch Real Madrid play at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium. Tickets for matches, especially the more popular Real Madrid matches, can be extremely difficult to get hold of, so plan well ahead.
The nightlife in Madrid is legendary. This is a city that truly never sleeps. The people of Madrid only start to go out around 11pm, and more often than not it’s later. The many cafeterias and bars will astound you. Everywhere on every street there are tables filled to overflowing with people eating, drinking and speaking volubly as only the people of Madrid can.
Madrid is an amazing city. It very definitely has “mucha marcha” everywhere you go. And if the hustle and bustle becomes too overpowering, take a quiet and peaceful stroll in Parque del Retiro, Madrid’s “Central Park,” the beautiful large open space in the middle of the city. But before long you’ll be right back in the midst of the bustle, drawn by the hypnotic allure that lies at the heart of Spain’s sparkling Jewel in the Crown - Madrid.

What Are The Causes Of High Blood Pressure?
The causes of high blood pressure are many and varied. However, there are certain recurring causes that will affect most people adversely. Knowing the causes of high blood pressure will mean that you are better placed to avoid them, or reverse the effects.
One of the causes of high blood pressure may be your family history and you can do little about that. However, you can do something about most of the other causes of high blood pressure. In this article we will look at the effects of eating the wrong foods, being overweight, and being physically inactive.
Consuming the wrong kind of food is one of the causes of high blood pressure. Too much salt can have an adverse effect on blood pressure. The remedy is simple: cut out salt in your food wherever possible. Watch out for processed foods too. They often already contain salt for flavor. The causes of high blood pressure can sometimes lie hidden.
Another of the prime causes of high blood pressure is excessive alcohol. Alcohol raises blood pressure and keeps it high. And smoking is also one of the biggest causes of high blood pressure, so cut down or stop.
Carrying too much body weight is another of the causes of high blood pressure. Many people are more overweight than they think. The heart has to work harder, and your blood pressure rises. Lose weight and one of the major causes of high blood pressure will disappear and your blood pressure will reduce.
One of the easiest ways to lose weight is through regular exercise. For many people that conjures up images of sweating in the gym - hard work, in other words! It needn’t be so. It will take you around 15 minutes to walk briskly for the distance of one mile. That alone every day will make a huge difference in time. Physical inactivity is another of the causes of high blood pressure, so get active.
Consider walking more than a mile every day though. Just doubling that mile will leave you with plenty of time every day for the other things you need to do. For an able-bodied person, this is the easiest of the causes of high blood pressure to put right. So, exercise and be physically active for at least thirty minutes a day, every day.
There are many causes of high blood pressure. The easiest way to do something about it is to start by combating three of the most common causes of high blood pressure: consuming the wrong things, being overweight, and not being physically active enough. There are other causes of high blood pressure, but starting with these three is a step in the right direction.

(extract from an ebook on Web 2.0 properties)
On Del.icio.us people like good old “How To…” style articles. If you can share a technique that works for you in a simple “How To…” manner, it should go down well. A link back to your site, which of course will offer more information, and may require them to buy, will not be seen as spammy if done in a subtle and gentle way.
People love step-by-step instructions, so give them exactly that. You could write a 400-word article telling them “How To Drive Your Ball 50 Feet Further Down The Green in 5 Easy Steps.”
I’ll bet that would get the golfers excited. But of course, that would only be applicable if you were selling something golf-related. So consider your own market and get creative!
Lists work well with the Del.icio.us crowd too. “The 10 Funniest Sporting Moments Of The Year” would go down well if you had a way of showing them just that. Then you might gently guide them to a sport-related product once they have mellowed and laughed at the funny moments.
Motivate, inspire and light a fire under the readers. Make them feel all charged up about your story. This of course goes for Digg and Propeller too (coming later). Give them an emotional experience in one way or another. Tell them a story - a real-life harrowing story - and you may well find yourself on the “Hotlist.”
